It goes both ways.

What’s the point in lying to some people you don’t know (and you can’t know, as they are hidden behind masks they like to call nicknames), whilst being yourself unknown to them? Does it make you feel better about yourself when you talk about your perfect imaginary life to your imaginary friends (whom you probably imagine to be lower than you – they do the same about you, by the way)?
